I had a delicious lunch here with friends today! Great location near the interstate, and wonderful ambiance. Love the open courtyard and shopping, too!

Great menu. Awesome service. They have a cool interior, and a nice place outside in the courtyard area. I don't think I've had anything bad here, and if you like fresh oysters they have a new daily menu for what's available. The steak is a bit pricey, but worth it.

Our favorite meeting place in Tucson’s historic barrio district. Honestly, a book should be written about how the west side of old Tucson has literally exploded over the past 5 years, it’s almost unrecognizable (in a good way) from the desert wasteland of the mid 2000’s. This can be attributed to the growing community of creative restaurateurs and boutique owners who not only honor the Spanish legacy of southern Arizona but have worked to see it reborn and thrive. The Mercado at San Agustin is the perfect place to gather for food, drink, shopping, weekend flea markets, and antiquing… you can literally make a day of it and never leave this burgeoning barrio haven.

Very trendy and hip place. Lots of boutique shops and eateries. Great coffee shop (Presta) and amazing taco spot. Upscale steak house is top notch as well. If ya have friends in town this a great space to spend a few hours.

Cute courtyard with some food options varying from casual to more upscale. There's also a bakery and a store.

There should be something that catches your appetite here. Or, just relax and chill with a cup of coffee or cocktail.

Mercado San Agustin District: A Vibrant Community Oasis @mercadodistricttucson Mercado San Agustin is more than just a market; it's the heart of a thriving community. While the market itself boasts a delightful collection of local shops and eateries, such as @la_estrellabakery and @agustinkitchen, the true charm lies in the surrounding neighborhood. A World Away from Suburbia The architecture here is a refreshing departure from the typical American suburbs. Here, houses are built with local materials and designed to foster interaction. Forget sprawling lawns and car-centric living; the Mercado District encourages walking, meeting your neighbors in plazas, and enjoying a true sense of community. Award-Winning Design The neighborhood itself is a marvel of design. Moule & Polyzoides Architects (@moule_polyzoides) have crafted a space that seamlessly blends traditional aesthetics with modern functionality. With eight blocks, seven plazas, and a stop on the Tucson streetcar line, the Mercado District is both beautiful and conveniently accessible, reminiscent of San Miguel de Allende. Many of the homes are tucked closely together, with inner courtyards filled with fountains and plants, or rooftop patios for watching a sunset. A Breath of Fresh Air If you're looking for a place that celebrates community, sustainability, and local character, then Mercado San Agustin is a must-visit. It's a place where you can ditch the car, embrace the outdoors, and connect with the vibrant energy of Tucson. Down the street you will find the MSA Annex. A series of shops, cafes and eateries serving local goods, all houses within repurposed shipping containers.
